Το έλαιο αμαμελίδας εξάγεται από τα άνθη και τον φλοιό του φυτού Hamamelis virginiana. Η αμαμελίδα virginiana χρησιμοποιείται στην περιποίηση του δέρματος εδώ και αιώνες.
